Kop Hill Festival 2021

After a short hiatus, the Club will be having a Stand at the Kop Hill Festival at Princes Risborough in Buckinghamshire this year.
This Hill Climb event has its origins before the First World War but was stopped in 1925 due to an unfortunate collision between a motorcycle and a spectator. However, the event was revived in 2009 and has become an immensely popular annual get together for participants and spectators alike.
The Kop Hill Festival is entirely organised by volunteers, and all proceeds from the event are distributed amongst local charities. The Festival was awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2020. The Kop Hill Festival prefer the Club Displays to consist of older, preferably “historic” vehicles, (in other words built before 1980) but all the cars on the Club Stands must be at least 25 years old, so please bear this in mind when booking your ticket.
(The organisers reserve the right to ask the drivers of inappropriate vehicles to move to the public car park). I am looking forward to seeing a splendid display of saloons, coupes, and convertibles from the 1960’s, 1970’s and 1980’s on both days.
Admission into the Festival including a place on the Club Stand is £20 per day, or £30 for both days for a car and driver. Anyone with a younger classic wishing to attend is, of course, very welcome to do so, but you will have to park in the Public Car Parks (which are free).
Please also bear in mind that display cars will need to be on the Club Stand before 9.00am. All bookings are via the Festival’s own website: kophillclimb.org.uk
